Change agents are inevitably going to encounter personal limits and become disorientated when implementing creative solutions. In these moments we all need and deserve support This can be a messy journey and it requires the cultivation of  a trusted inner-compass to guide our way honestly.

I work with diverse, non-conforming  leaders and teams to develop authentic, consistent, credible leadership practices and processes that build trust. I am committing to growing a culture of belonging and cultivating a plural idea of what a leadership is. 

Outdated leadership tropes are holding us back. Visionary leaders can guide progress and inspire people to make the world fairer, more sustainable, and just better. 

The model for what great leaders look like and act like has barely changed in the past century: authoritative, exacting, pedigreed, and masculine. Often ambitious leaders put on a performance to project the kind of authority people recognize. Unfortunately, pretending requires suppressing their own beliefs and needs. In masking,  unconventional leaders can’t show up how they need to. 

 I want to see a broader diversity of people reach the highest levels of leadership--at companies, in government,  in nonprofits.  To do that, we need leaders who have the courage to understand the truth of who they are, what they want, and to develop aligned  leadership instincts and skills with clarity. In aligning their self-understanding with their purpose (alongside developing communication skills) leaders can develop instincts that allow them to navigate complexity with clarity and consistency. This is the basis of credible, trusted leadership--and the type of leadership coaching that I am the most excited by.
